K-73

I made this modular sci-fi environment, 'K-73' for my Level Editing exam at DAE howest. Everything seen is self made apart from the ferns I got off of megascans.

K-73 Is an independent connector to link 2 space stations together temporarily, Making resource trading and ressuplying easier.

Our goal was to build a small modular level using UE4, including minimal gameplay. I was inspired heavily by Star Citizen with a focus on the space stations.

I set a few personal goals up, mainly focussing on modularity and the reusability of assets without making it too repetitive, noticeable or losing quality when used differently.

I made 3 high poly versions of sci fi floor panels, baking them onto a flat plane afterwards. Then rotated and separated them when required to avoid a repeating pattern. To break things up Decals were used and projected onto the meshes.

I created a space skybox using spacescape and a sphere.

Modular assets I made. Some split into several parts to be combined with other assets to keep things interesting. Some assets use a trimtexture to save texture space.
